We'll get to the world record in a moment, but first, let's talk about the message from our booth, which we recited like a mantra:
1. One truckload of food is wasted every minute in Germany.
2. Food waste accounts for 10% of all global greenhouse gas emissions.
3. 50% of food waste happens at home and the other half along the value chain.
4. SIRPLUS rescues surplus food, primarily from producers, and sells it 40% cheaper in its online shop.
5. For every order, we donate two school meals, and now until the end of May, even ten school meals. We have already funded over 500,000 school meals in Africa.
6. Saving food not only makes economic sense, but it is also ethical and ecological, and absolutely easy to integrate into life.
7. With over 300 products in our range, everyone can find products worth at least €39 with us, and shipping is free.
