SIRPLUS wins the federal prize "Too Good for the Bin 2018" for its commitment to combating food waste

The "Too Good for the Bin" initiative, which combats food waste, has been active since 2012. Founded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the project has also awarded the "Too Good for the Bin" Federal Prize since 2016. Incidentally, this isn't the first award that co-founder and managing director Raphael Fellmer has received for his commitment to appreciating food. Back in 2016, he won the prize in the "Education" category for the Foodsharing initiative. foodsharing.de is an online platform for distributing surplus food.

Best Startup at the Founders Campus of BSP Business School Berlin

On January 11, 2018, we participated in the 7th Founders Campus of the BSP Business School Berlin , University of Management, and won first prize in the competition on the topic of "Value Creation in Digital Transformation"! We are absolutely thrilled. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Second place in the Ernst & Young Public Value Award (2017)

In Leipzig, on October 27th, the moment finally arrived: out of 120 companies, we made it to the finals of the E&Y Public Value Awards . Before a jury and the audience, we had to present SIRPLUS and our contribution to the common good in a short presentation, and then...we actually came in second place with our concept and are incredibly proud!

#Next Generation Food 17 winners! E-Food Pitch (2017)

As part of Berlin Food Week, the " Next Generation Food 17 " think tank took place for the fifth time in October. This year, the best business idea in the e-food sector was once again selected. We were delighted to receive first prize: €250,000 in gross media advertising for outdoor advertising from Ströer Media in Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich. We are absolutely thrilled with this overwhelmingly positive response!

Climate-KIC Accelerator (2017)

The idea of ​​reducing food waste was there, and at the beginning of the year we were looking for an environment in which our business idea could mature. We saw this opportunity at Climate-KIC Accelerator and applied for the biannual pitch for green startups – and we succeeded! Since April, our office has been located on the EUREF Campus, and in September 2017 we were even able to impress them a second time and secure Climate-KIC's support for another six months.
