“PUKKA” means “truthful” and “authentic” – values that have been central since the company's founding.

PUKKA's tea creations combine traditional herbal knowledge with modern scientific insights. To produce the finest herbal blends, the company relies on expert herbalists: approximately 20% of its employees have a professional background in herbalism and continuously develop the products to optimally meet the needs of its customers.

It all started in 2001 with a simple idea: delicious and healthy teas that enrich people and the planet.

Sebastian Pole, a trained herbalist who discovered his passion for traditional medicine during his travels through the Himalayas, wanted to use the power of plants to change the world.

At the same time, Tim Westwell was looking for a way to leave the corporate world behind and turn his love of nature and his business experience into something positive.

PUKKA was born from the vision of the two: a company that helps people lead healthier and happier lives through high-quality, ethically traded organic herbs.

COMMITMENT TO THE NEXT GENERATION

Sustainability is PUKKA's top priority. On its path to climate neutrality, the company is continuously pursuing projects to achieve its net-zero goal.

Furthermore, all tea ingredients are 100% certified organic and bear the seals of approval from the Organic Soil Association and Fair for Life. The wild-harvested herbs are also certified with the FairWild seal, guaranteeing sustainable harvesting.

PUKKA tea packaging is made from recyclable, FSC-certified cardboard, printed with vegetable-based ink. After four years of development, the tea bags are now also recyclable with paper waste and contain neither staples nor plastics. Instead, they are made from wood pulp, Manila hemp, and certified cotton.

As part of the “1% for the Planet” initiative, PUKKA donates one percent of its annual revenue to non-profit organizations.

Since 2022, PUKKA has supported partner schools that grow vegetables and herbs on their own school fields. From 2024, the company will also support the CampusAckerdemie (Campus Farming Academy) and launch new projects for the growing season.

Conclusion: PUKKA – a true partner for a sustainable future

In a world where responsibility towards people and nature is becoming increasingly important, PUKKA is an outstanding example of how companies can have a positive impact.

We at SIRPLUS are grateful that PUKKA is part of our mission and look forward to working together to make a positive contribution to the planet.
