What you need for the pasta bake:
- 1 kg of spelt pasta from Naturata. Order online now.
- 4 tomatoes
- 300 g carrots
- 300 g shallots
- 3 eggs ( vegan : omit or add some cornstarch)
- 500g sour cream ( vegan : Wilmersburger cream cheese)
- 1 can of Wilmersburger tomato cream
- Salt, pepper, paprika, nutmeg and parsley
(and anything else you have left that you like)
The casserole
Cook the pasta until just tender, then drain. Brush the casserole dish with olive oil. Spread the first layer of pasta in the dish, while slicing the tomatoes and briefly sautéing them with spices. Then distribute the tomatoes over the pasta layer.
Now spread the second layer of pasta in the casserole dish. Caramelize the shallots and carrots with salt, pepper, and sugar, and distribute them over the second layer.
Now for the sauce.
Mix the eggs, sour cream, and tomato cream, and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and nutmeg. Pour everything over the casserole so that the sauce almost reaches the surface.
Bake in the oven at 170 degrees for 45 minutes and presto, your SirPlus casserole is ready.
Bon appetit!
