At the same time, there are people in this world who still don't get a hot meal on the table.
That's why we want to use the day to not only save food together with you, but also to help those who need food most urgently - including children in Burundi and people in need in Berlin.

- Rescue packaged food, especially coffee, tea, basic foodstuffs and sweets, in our rescue markets.
- Place them in our care basket at the checkout.
- SIRPLUS will hand over these food items to the Berlin City Mission's cold weather relief program on your behalf.

Approximately 40,000 people live without a home in Berlin.
When the cold winter months arrive, it is often the hardest time of the year for them. The Berlin City Mission's cold weather assistance program provides an invaluable service here.
In the emergency shelters, people in need find a place to sleep, are offered a hot meal, and can receive medical help.
