Dear rescuer hearts,
Thank you so much for your support over the past four weeks. We are incredibly happy to have opened our first store with such a success and to be able to rescue food together with you every day. And so much food at once! To keep you up to date on some of the delicious and special products currently available to rescue, here's a quick overview:
Pineapple fruit paper and confetti from Dörrwerk €2.20. This young Berlin startup shares our passion for food rescue. At Dörrwerk, rescued fruit is dried and processed into delicate wafers. The snacks are vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, and contain no added ingredients (100% fruit).
Selosoda soft drink, bottle €0.50 / case €10 plus deposit. Think you can only make coffee from the coffee fruit? Think again! Besides the bean, the so-called coffee cherry has much more to offer. Selosoda was the first to recognize that this coffee cherry could be further processed. The result is a caffeinated and carbonated soft drink – without sugar or other additives.
Naturata chocolate (almond and blueberry-amaranth), €1.50. This Swiss chocolate is distinguished by its organic quality and production according to Fair Trade standards. It is lactose-free, vegan, and also climate-neutral, as the CO2 emissions calculated for production and transport are offset through a climate protection project.
Spiruli Drink, €0.50. Spiruli is made from elderberry, citrus juice and algae extracts, and is therefore packed with vitamin B12, making it the perfect refreshing drink for vegans and vegetarians (and of course for everyone else too)!
