Cabbage: The vitamin powerhouse from our latitudes

Hundreds of years ago, explorers at sea knew that cabbage was an excellent food for meeting people's vitamin needs and protecting them against scurvy. After all, cabbage grows locally, not only at the end of a months-long journey to tropical regions.
So, rescue tip number 4 is about the correct storage of cabbage.
Important: Cabbage should not be wrapped in damp cloths , otherwise it will easily become moldy and will no longer be a winter vitamin bomb.
Cabbage is best stored in a cool, dark place .
Hanging, with the large leaves bent upwards, or in a wooden box in a dry cellar, in cupboards located in cool rooms, at the very bottom, or in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator.
