We are very happy and still overwhelmed by so much support for our crowdfunding campaign , emails and interest in the topic and our young company SirPlus !

Other food producers have contacted us via crowdfunding, as they also want to take action against waste and are now offering us their best-before dates.

That's great, and we feel that we're on the cutting edge, and together with your support we can achieve great things!

The last few weeks have been incredibly intense and exciting for us: for example, we had the honor of creating delicious dishes from rescued food for over 300 guests at the evening reception of a trade fair (“ CUBE Tech Fair ”). Furthermore, we've begun the implementation of our future warehouse and have been enthusiastically following the progress of our crowdfunding campaign.

After three weeks, we had already reached our funding goal of €50,000 … and now over 1,200 people have pre-ordered more than 1,000 rescue boxes and other thank-you gifts. Thanks to you and the media coverage (including Bild , Berliner Zeitung , Utopia , enorm Magazin , Berliner Morgenpost , Berlin Valley , Global Citizen , and the Huffington Post ) , we were able to raise our funding goal to €150,000 so that together we can save even more food from being wasted! Every euro you contribute to our crowdfunding campaign will be used to bring food back into circulation.

SirPlus in the media

Several TV stations have contacted us and want to report on SirPlus. To make the most of this media attention for our crowdfunding campaign, we've decided to extend it by 45 days. This will give us another chance to really ramp things up and share the idea with friends and acquaintances so that even more people learn about it.

We're working flat out on the operational to-dos to get our warehouse, shop, delivery service, and processes up and running so we can supply you with rescued food as quickly as possible. We're going full throttle for you and the food itself, so we can get started soon! We're grateful that our team is growing and that, in addition to our wonderful interns, we now have Katharina on board as Head of Operations & Finance! Thank you to everyone —some of whom have been with us for almost a year—who helps and supports us wherever they can! We'd love to hear your ideas for SirPlus.
