On September 20th, the third global climate strike will take place – millions of people worldwide will take to the streets and make their voices heard for compliance with the Paris climate goals ( www.cop21.org ) – and SIRPLUS will of course be there!
To meet the Paris climate goals and protect the climate, we need more than just school pupils, trainees, and students. It's time we all joined forces and got involved. Something finally needs to happen, and that requires us—you and me—to stand up for the climate on September 20th. Because while the climate cabinet is meeting in Berlin and one of the most important UN summits of the year is being prepared in New York, #FridaysForFuture is calling for the biggest climate strike of all time!
We at SIRPLUS are participating and joining the strike. Because we have made it our mission, through our work and by rescuing food, to do something not only about world hunger, but also about the climate crisis.
Ever since their childhood, our founders Martin and Raphael have been thinking about sustainability, a fairer world, and how we can all live together in peace.
Raphael lived on a money strike for 5 years to send a message that we must stop talking and instead dedicate all our energy to a sustainable future for our grandchildren!
It is time to act and we all must do something because we only have a few years left to avoid an ecological and ethical disaster.
As Margaret Mead so beautifully put it:
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
We are incredibly excited to take to the streets together with the entire workforce of almost 100 people from SIRPLUS and show our colors together.
We would like to encourage all companies and entrepreneurs, employees, associations, universities, schools, etc., to join us: Let's strike together on September 20th and demonstrate for the climate. Take a moment to remember our Earth, the animals, plants, and trees that make life on our planet possible.
